I installed this stereo over the weekend for my wife's cousin. Pretty sweet head unit.br /br /Too bad it doesn't work with the iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.0. Tested it with my 3GS with 3.1.3 and it worked perfectly both when controlling from the HU and from the iPhone itself. Attached my wife's 3GS with iOS 4 and it would not detect it. Big show stopper for me. I didn't have an iPhone 4 to test with, but if it doesn't work with the 3GS with 4.0, I can't imagine it would work with the iPhone 4.br /br /Also tested with a older 30GB iPOD (don't know exact model) - worked but wasn't able to control music from the iPod itself (no sound would come out).br /br /Note that I just used the regular iPhone/iPod cable and attached it to the USB port on the HU. We did not purchase the JVC iPod/iPhone cable which I believe will support video playback from the iPhone/iPod also.br /br /Don't expect the touchscreen to be responsive like your iPhone. You have to use some pressure or your finger nails.

I have had my JVC for just under a year now. I switched from a Kenwood when I saw I could get a touch screen with DVD and backup camera capabilities along with Bletooth and iPod capabilities. I am very impressed with the user interface compared to my Kenwood. I does everything I hoped it would do which doesn't seem to happen offen these days. The only glitch I have had since installation is loosing it's ability to see "lists" in iPod mode. I had thought something had died on the receiver but I eventually tried resetting the receiver. This fixed it but I did have to go through my personalization again. All in all, I am very happy with my JVC.

The headunit i purchased adds perfect center piece to my dash. The touch/ proximity features are amazing blue tooth and ipod does not lag at all. The dvd screen quality could be a bit better. The settings is y itb only has 4 stars. Can't do centain backgrounds. With the style off buttons. The settings are a bit confusing but still a good headunit and i wound recomend it to someone that wants to expand the video in their car.
